Properties of backlit film
Our backlit film is tailored to the typical lightbox format of 118.5 x 175 cm. The translucent material features high dimensional stability and retains its shape event under varying temperatures or air humidity. We print backlit film with water-proof UV inks that guarantee fading resistance. This means that the colours will not fade even after prolonged illumination. There is no risk of deterioration and colour changes of the image – also not when it is frequently exposed to sunlight or UV light. Usually installed in lightboxes, backlit film produces vivid colours and sharp contrast. But backlit film does not need to be illuminated from behind to make colours and contrasts stand out.
Characteristics of backlit film
The satin surface of the polyester film is smooth without structure. The reverse is glossy white. At 210 µm, translucent backlit film is flexible and lightweight and yet tear-proof and durable. Make sure to not bend the film as creases will be clearly visible in the material.
